This set of Place Value Task Cards covers all of the 4th grade place value TEKS: 4.2A, 4.2B, 4.2C, 4.2D, 4.2E, 4.2F, 4.2G, & 4.2H. The 24 task cards are a great way to review all of the place value TEKS before an end of unit test or STAAR. I looked for lots of fun facts about the world around us to make the questions interesting for students.
My task cards come with an “easy-key” which makes grading and grouping for intervention fast. I also make a “mini-key” for each set of task cards. I put all of the “mini-keys” for my task cards on a ring in my classroom for students to use when I want them to self-correct.
Color and Blackline versions of the task cards are included.
This is a TEKS centered resource. While others may be “TEKS-aligned,” they often cover Common Core standards as well. My Texas specific resources cover the TEKS and nothing but the TEKS, so that teachers don’t have to spend additional time sorting through what to use and what not to use. I know how precious each and every school day is; there is no time to waste. As with all of my resources, it is also designed with STAAR in mind.
