This set of 12 Exit Slips covers all 4th grade Personal Financial Literacy TEKS. These Exit Tickets cover fixed and variable expenses, calculating profit, and the basic purposes of financial institutions such as banks.

The included key has space to record the names of students who need reteach to make record-keeping easy and simple.
This resource also includes a DATA TRACKING SYSTEM that helps you track student mastery of the TEKS and the small group intervention you do with students who are struggling. It is a useful tool to help make RTI decisions and to show your administrators how you are masterfully responding to student needs.
There are 4 Exit Slips for each of the tested Supporting TEKS:
4.10A Distinguish between Fixed and Variable Expenses
4.10B Calculate Profit in a given situation
4.10E Describe the Basic Purpose of Financial Institutions, including keeping money safe, borrowing money, and lending

This is a TEKS centered resource. While others may be TEKS-aligned, they often cover Common Core standards as well. My Texas specific resources cover the TEKS and nothing but the TEKS, so that teachers dont have to spend additional time sorting through what to use and what not to use. I know how precious each and every school day is; there is no time to waste. As with all of my resources, it is designed with STAAR in mind.

Please note that the non-tested Financial Literacy TEKS, 4.10C and 4.10D are not included in this resource. Those TEKS cover investing and allocating money between spending, saving and sharing. Both of these non-tested TEKS depend upon personal opinion and are intended to develop student thinking about these deeply important topics. Just as STAAR does not asses these TEKS, I have chosen not to asses these TEKS in an exit slip format.
