This FUN resource includes props to help your students think about and solve word problems. Join and Separate Problems (referred to as add to and take from problems in CCSS) areAction Problems that need to be acted out in a movie. Kids will love taking on the role as director or actor to make mini-movies with word problems you are solving in class! Part-Part-Whole and Compare Problems are Snapshot Problems that can be represented through photos. Kids will take on the role as photographer and stage a scene to represent the information in the those types of word problems.
This makes a great Technology Math Station that can be used all year long! Use an iPad or other digital device to record the movies and take pictures. The included props have places for students to record problem information and student names for record keeping.
